Dam Busters 101: Site Visit

Join us for an insightful site visit to the Monatiquot River/Armstrong Dam in Braintree, MA, on September 18, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM (rain date: September 25). There is only room for 30 people, so if the spots fill you will be added to a waitlist and notified if additional spots open up.

About the event
This event offers a unique opportunity to take what we have learned during the Dam Busters 101 webinars over the past year and see it live and in-person! Hear from the MA Division of Ecological Restoration staff who will take us through the site and describe the full dam removal process and river restoration efforts.
Please bring a water bottle, wear comfortable shoes and wear weather appropriate clothing. Park at the extensive Registry of Motor Vehicles Parking Lot in Braintree at 10 Plain Street Braintree, MA 02184 and meet us at the dam removal information sign. Here is a map showing where to meet, the tour route, and, most importantly, the ice cream place we will go to afterwards if you are able to stick around.
