What is Dam Busters 101?

Dam Busters 101 was a collaborative effort organized by the Massachusetts Rivers Alliance in partnership with the Massachusetts Division of Ecological Restoration and the Charles River Watershed Association. Running from November 2023 to October 2024, the series included ten free, lunchtime webinars on various dam removal topics and two in-person dam removal tours.

Each one-hour webinar featured an expert speaker who shared insights on specific aspects of the dam removal process, provided valuable resources, and facilitated a Q&A session for attendees.

The primary goal of the series was to equip municipal and NGO dam removal project managers, along with other stakeholders, with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively lead and execute dam removal projects.

Building on the success of Dam Busters 101, the series will continue in 2025 as Dam Busters 201, offering deeper dives into advanced topics and covering new subject areas. Register for the 201 series here >>
